Are You Healthy ? How Often You Have Medical Check Up ?

If you are slim and healthy all these while and BMI below 20, you are advice to do annual checks. However, if you are always sick, stomach bloated up, feeling dizzy, sleepy after lunch, tired everyday, stomach waistline getting bigger regularly, gassy and BMI exceed 24, please do a medical check up on your cholesterol,  blood sugar and blood pressure.

Formula to calculate BMI :      mass (kg) / height (m)2
Example : You are 60kg and height 1.5cm

Calculation :
First calculate height in m2 ( 1.5 multiply 1.5 = 2.25) and then 60kg / 2.25 = 26.66 (overweight)

BMI below 18 is underweight
BMI above 24 is overweight
BMI above 28 is seriously obese (alarm)

BMI is just a simply calculation of body weight over height index. It does not indicate whether you are healthy or unhealthy, it is just a simple guide. You need to go for medical check up from professional.

Please do not think that your are slim and young, you are healthy ! That is not true. There has been cases where 8 years old kid had stroke and 18 years old teenager had diabetes. Don't wait till the doctors to tell you your time is up. Health cannot wait for you. Check now, if you are diagnosed with some disease, at least you know it early. You can try to manage and recover early.
